" 天 / Heaven " 60 x 180 cm, set of 5, Maebashi Museum of Art

Gunpowder has long embodied a duality: destruction in weapons and celebration in fireworks.
In my work, I inscribe this dual force into the trace of light captured by the camera.
Each burst of fireworks ends in death, yet from its ashes, the Firebird is reborn.
It is a being that lives eternally through cycles of destruction and regeneration—a metaphor for human history itself.
My photographs attempt to move beyond the destructive and festive dimensions of gunpowder, rendering the Firebird as an emblem of renewal and eternity painted across the night sky.
